Of all the music that reached farthest into heaven, it is the beating of a loving heart.

Graffiti's always been a temporary art form. You make your mark and then they scrub it off.

We Love Camp Fires

Welcome to We Love Camp Fires. We are Ashley and Sam and we are currently studying at the Academy of Art University in the US. We are two guys who love art and music and are immersed in the great city of San Francisco, with great peers. Ashley’s studying at the School of Art Education and wants to be an art educator inspiring a new generation of artists. Sam’s studying animation and visual effects aiming for work in the 3D animation industry.

We both love music too. Sometimes we play music at parties, but most of the time we listen to other people’s music and love travelling to the world’s festivals to hear music live. Our other shared hobby is spray painting. We even performed serenades for Valentine's day which is quite romantic gesture from your loved one. You can also combine the serenade with some other ideas for Valentines day to make the evening more special and romantic.

We were first inspired by the POW WOW team and now we want to inspire you too, to listen to a range of music and view original art from some of the world’s greatest artists. On We Love Camp Fires we will share our bucket list of the world’s festivals and the world’s events in art and music. It’s going to involve a lot of travelling in the USA, Europe and the rest of the world.

Traveling Around The World

Europe's largest Street Art and Graffiti festival

Street Art and Graffiti festival in Bristol

In 2016 we went travelling in Europe and saw Europe's largest Street Art and Graffiti festival in Bristol, UK on July 23-25. More than three-hundred street artists helped to decorate Bristol to welcome twenty-five thousand visitors. Artists from more than twenty-five countries created murals covering 30,000sq ft of the city, home of renowned street artist Banksy. Some of the artworks are painted on movable boards and temporary hoardings, but murals on some venues and buildings will remain all year until the next festival.

The live artist painting took place over the weekend and you are invited to chat with the artists whilst they work. The Monday was designated as a viewing day and special family day with extra workshops for the kids. No tickets are required for Upfest, but you can support them by buying a programme on site and donate to Upfest’s nominated charity, National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA).

The affordable art sale, music stages for local bands and art workshops make Upfest one of the best world’s events.

Started in 2009 the Wynwood Walls has brought the world’s greatest artists working in the graffiti and street art genre to Miami. There’s a diverse representation of both American and international artists that encompasses everything from the old school graffiti artists to the newest work being created around the world. Wynwood Doors add a surprise touch with a portrait gallery of smaller works by a host of different artists.

Wynwood Walls has to be one of America’s hippest neighbourhoods and one of the world’s events you can’t miss if you are a spray painter. Since launching, more than fifty artists representing sixteen countries have covered over eighty-thousand square feet of walls both inside and outside the park in the surrounding neighbourhood. Wynwood Walls Garden opened in 2015, offering new space within the outdoor museum to enjoy not only an additional four murals by Case (Germany), Logan Hicks (US), El Seed (France) and Hueman (US) but also a container installation by Pichi & Avo (Spain).

History Of Graffiti And How To Make Graffiti

History Of Graffiti And How To Make Graffiti

Nov. 25th

There is an ongoing debate regarding graffiti. Some say it is urban folk art, others vandalism. The urge to scrawl on a wall is probably older than the Pyramids, but nobody really knows the exact origins of street-art graffiti, the style that virtually took over New York in the 1970s and 1980s.
